Poetry is always hard to translate across languages, and without knowledge of the original language it's harder to say if any interpretations by me are unintentional mistakes. Nevertheless, I still enjoy and appreciate this poem, which (I think) hits on the idea that finding a true sense of peace can't really come unless you detach yourself from all work, both city and country. Someone in the countryside still has to put in an extraordinary amount of effort in their daily lives, so they're still toiling in much the same way as they would in the city. That's at least my partial interpenetration; because of it's succinctness the poem is still interesting to think about. I'm still curious about the circumstances of the text; was this poem submitted just through WhatsApp for family and friends only? Does the grandfather has any ideas for compiling them or sending any to magazines or publishers?

It find it super interesting that you translated family texts for this project! Did you encounter any difficulty in doing the translation, especially of the poem? Was any part of the meaning lost when you translated the poem into English?  It's also interesting to consider how your translation could help your texts be transmitted into the future, since now they are available to audiences in two languages.
